The Richest Horse Race Meeting in the World.
Held annually since 1996, The Dubai Cup is a thoroughbred horse race event at the Nad Al Sheba Racecourse.
The race was the creation of Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, emir of Dubai, who owns Darley Stud, one of the world's leading thoroughbred breeding and racing operations. It is the world's richest horse race, with a 2004 purse of $6 million.
In 2005 the race day will take place on Saturday the 26 of March and will feature 7 races.
